View from Goetheturm

The tower is a 43-metre high construction which was built entirely out of wood. It was renovated from 2010 – 2014 and was reopened April 11, 2014 for the public.

Technique
Stitched from eight images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 8mm fish eye lens on a Sony A7. Handheld from the viewing plattform of the tower. I took an image approx. every 45°. I had to do some serious retouching in the sky and I had to create the roof of the tower as I was standing underneath and not above…

Marble Courtyard in the Castle of Versailles

Stitched from four images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 8mm fish eye lens on a Sony A7. Handheld over the head as tripods or monopods are not allowed inside the Castle of Versailles. Had to do some serious retouching at the tiles of the floor.

Sculpture Umschreibung – Inside

Originally this panorama was my submission to the World Wide Panaorama event ‘Decade’. I took it with a monopod mounted on a tripod and took four images with the Walimex 8mm fishe eye lens mounted on the Sony ILCE-7.

Skyline of Frankfurt am Main on a sunny day in March 2014

This panorama was stitched from six images in landscape orientation. The resulting panorama is 10800 x 5585 pixels. Despite the fact that it was taken through a tinted window, I’m quite pleased with the final result.

Skyline of Frankfurt am Main at dusk (2014)

This image shows a panorama which was stitched from eight images in portrait orientation. Due to the high dynamic range of the sensor I only used one exposure and brought back the shadows with Lightroom. The size of the resulting image is 19200 x 6000 pixel.
