Another legacy ultra wide lens adapted to the E-mount of the NEX ...

This year we started with a photographic experiment. We recruited two assistants and used sparklers to write 2012 in the air.

As I am aware of the fact, that any combination of lens and body has it's maximum sharpness at a specific aperture I did a series of test images with different apertures to find the maximum sharpness of a Voigtländer Ultra Wide Heliar 12mm/5.6 on a Sony NEX-7.
The Gullfoss (which means Golden Falls in icelandic) is a waterfall in the canyon of the river Hvítá in the southwest of Iceland.

This image shows a reprojected version of this panorama.

This panorama is the result of 26 stitched images made with the Sony NEX-5 and the 16mm pancake lens. It is a test to be compared with the experiment I described in my last two posts.
